Semi-Truck Driver Arrested for DUI After Rollover on SR 167

ALGONA, Wash. - A semi-truck driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a rollover collision injured four people and blocked all northbound lanes of SR 167. The crash, which involved the tractor-trailer and a pickup truck, occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday, March 17th.

Photos from the scene of the major accident show the cab of the big rig completely crushed against the highway’s concrete medium, blocking all lanes. Due to the hours-long closure of the main highway, Northbound traffic on SR 167 was diverted at the Ellingson exit. Multiple tow trucks were called to the scene to remove the tractor-trailer, and traffic began flowing around 5 p.m. that day.

Valley Regional Fire and South King Fire were at the scene of the crash providing medical care to the injured individuals, who were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening issues. For more on this story, read the King 5 article.
