Teen Dies in Car Crash After Running a Stop Sign in Moses Lake, WA

An 18-year-old male died in a car crash on February 10th, 2023 at approximately 11:30 pm after running a stop sign and colliding with another vehicle in Moses Lake, Washington.

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO), Mario Rodriguez, Jr., of Moses Lake, was driving his 1997 Mercedes Benz east on Road 4-Northeast and failed to stop at the Road L-Northeast stop sign. Rodriguez’s Mercedes then collided with a Ford F-250, driven by 55-year-old Michael Kralman of Snohomish, Washington, who was driving southbound.

Kralman declined medical care at the scene, according to a spokesperson for GCSO, who said Kralman would seek medical care from his provider at a later date.

18-year-old Taylor K. Davidson, also of  Moses Lake, was a passenger in Rodriguez’s Mercedes. She was transported to Samaritan Healthcare with non-life-threatening injuries.

Rodriguez's body will be examined by Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison. It's unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash; the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
