Steve Spencer is a skilled litigator, with over 30 years of experience handling cases throughout California, as well as several other states. Steve is an accomplished trial attorney, having conducted well in excess of 100 jury trials.

Steve has extensive experience handling wrongful death cases and serious injury cases involving brain damage, severe scarring, disc herniation, loss of limbs and other life changing losses. The cases have ranged from products liability to premises liability (slip and fall, assault and battery) to motor vehicle accidents.

In the 1990’s, Steve was a partner in a defense firm that was retained by insurance companies and big business entities (restaurants, grocery stores and machine companies). Before joining forces with C&Z, Steve was a partner and lead trial attorney in a well regarded Santa Monica plaintiff practice.

He graduated from Rutgers University and the University of San Diego School of Law. He is a longtime member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (Diplomate level). Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only, and includes top plaintiff and defense attorneys. He was named by the National Attorney s Association as a “Top 100 Lawyer.”
He has been a speaker on various practice topics, a mock trial judge, and a mentor to newer attorneys. He is a member of the faculty every year at the Jack Daniels ABOTA Trial School. He is a member of the Consumer Attorney s of California (CAOC), Consumer Attorney s Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA), Riverside County Bar Association (RCBA) and American Association for Justice (AAJ).

Steve is an honorary member of the Board of Governors of the Los Angeles Attorney s Charity, and is a former member of the Board of Governors for CAOC.
