Gina Shandler is a trial lawyer at Carpenter & Zuckerman who is passionate about helping people — standing up to those in power on behalf of injured individuals. Gina derives great personal satisfaction in the knowledge that her work makes a difference in the lives of her clients.
“I am motivated by the truth in each person's story and the suffering they are bravely seeking to right, as well as the daily struggle they are courageously taking one step at a time to overcome.” -Gina Shandler
Prior to joining Carpenter & Zuckerman, Gina worked in the legal industry for nearly a decade. She assisted the founding partners of a workers’ compensation law firm, routinely preparing pretrial exhibits and managing communication between clients, opposing counsel, medical experts, and third parties in various cases.
Next, Gina joined Carpenter & Zuckerman as a law clerk, where she assisted the founding partner in a sexual abuse case involving over 750 plaintiffs. The case was settled for a record $852 million. Gina aided with discovery and client meetings, and she was a regular attendee at hearings and depositions throughout the case.
“I found tremendous satisfaction in working with a team to achieve a victory for numerous women who were abused for so long,” Gina said “It made me realize how much our work matters in the lives of the everyday person and how much our work can change society and institutional behaviors for future generations.”
Once she became a licensed attorney, she joined CZ Law’s team of skilled personal injury lawyers.

Gina’s Background & Passion for Law
Gina grew up in a family of lawyers and watched her siblings become lawyers. She attended law school and found herself genuinely enjoying classes, legal analysis, and oral advocacy, and she knew it was the career path for her.
Now that Gina works as a personal injury attorney, she says the key to providing clients with excellent representation is connecting with them on a personal level so they feel heard and understood. She also says it’s important that the client is confident in the attorney’s personal investment in their victory, as well as in the attorney’s legal ability to achieve the best outcome.
In addition to her professional role at Carpenter & Zuckerman, Gina enjoys playing soccer and traveling. She was a member of California Coast Soccer League and participated on the USA Olympic Development Team. During her undergraduate studies, Gina studied abroad at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia.
