About

Valerie Tompkins has been with Carpenter & Zuckerman since 2018. In addition to being the executive assistant to CZ Law founder John C. Carpenter, Valerie is the firm’s Director of Litigation Management & Support. In this role, she manages cases filed in 18 counties across the state of California. She is also the CEO of John C. Carpenter’s philanthropic organization, Truth-Love-Justice.

Background & Personal Life

Valerie’s passion for the law was instilled in her at a young age, and that passion only grew over time. Her father read the U.S. Constitution to her at bedtime, and her college track coach was a lawyer. “The intensity of our practice was determined by how well things went in court,” Valerie said.

Valerie has a master’s degree in legal studies from Webster University and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. She is an NCAA All-American in Track & Field.
