Jenny Song

Jenny Song is the Financial Controller at Carpenter & Zuckerman. She has more than 15 years of experience in private and public accounting across various industries, including legal, medical, logistics, global music publishing, and agriculture.

Jenny was born and raised in China, and that is where she earned her first bachelor’s degree in accounting. She came to the United States in 2005, earning her second bachelor’s degree in accounting and her MBA from California Baptist University. In college, Jenny made both the Dean’s List and the President’s List. Jenny is fluent in both English and Chinese.

Jenny says being successful in her field requires strength of character: “You must have a strong work ethic, have integrity both personally and professionally, and be detail-oriented, trustworthy, reliable, and a team player.” 

As someone who is passionate about giving back to others, Jenny volunteers her time at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and she is an organ and tissue donor with the American Red Cross.

When Jenny isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, gardening, exercising, and watching movies. She has also learned everything there is to know about whiskey and is an investor in a whiskey startup company in Los Angeles.
