Robert J. Ounjian, Esq. obtained his law degree from Southwestern Law School in 2000. His practice has focused on general liability and medical malpractice litigation with an emphasis in birth injuries. In July 2009, he joined Carpenter & Zuckerman, LLP as an associate. In February 2013, he was promoted to partner.

Since joining CZ Law, Robert has handled a number of jury trials and arbitrations. He also second-chaired a medical malpractice birth injury case resulting in a $74.525 million verdict. Over the past 11 years at CZ Law, Robert has resolved approximately 550 cases involving medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, elder abuse and product liability. He has recovered more than $350 million in justice for injured plaintiffs.

Robert has been selected for inclusion in the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2012 to 2015, as well as on the Super Lawyers list from 2016 to 2022. Robert also serves on the Board of Directors at Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities (LATLC), a nonprofit organization with a focus on aiding the lives of those in need in the community. In 2015, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) elected Robert to its prestigious “Board of Governors.”
