Jason Kessel

As Creative Director at Carpenter & Zuckerman, Jason Kessel oversees all artistic development and direction concerning the firm’s marketing and branding. Jason has been doing creative design and marketing for nearly 30 years and has been an artist ever since he could hold a pencil. 

Jason started out as a graphic designer for an educational publisher in 1993 and has since worked his way up to various roles where he managed his own creative teams. Jason’s expansive design skill set spanning both print and digital mediums combined with his marketing experience make him a valuable member of the team at CZ Law.

Educational Background & Personal Life

In college, Jason studied fine art, art history, typography, color theory, life drawing, graphic design, and animation. He later went on to study 3D animation and character animation, and he even became certified in Autodesk Maya (it was owned by Alias at the time) at Studio Arts near Hollywood, California. Jason was trained by animators from Disney and Warner Bros. who worked in feature films.

Jason believes there’s no better way to clear your mind than to get out in nature. He loves hiking, kayaking, and riding his ATV. (He owns a Yamaha Raptor 660.) Jason describes himself as a “Star Wars nerd to the core” and an entertainment buff who thoroughly enjoys movies, music, and video games. He and his wife live in San Diego with their two dogs, Miri and Freckles.
